Since April 2002 it has been a legal requirement that all domestic replacement window and/or door installations are registered with Local Authority Building Control (LABC).
Installers or homeowners can either register installations with their LABC, or registered installers can self-certify these installations.
Our company self-certify our installations under the CERTASS (Certification and Assessment) scheme, which is one of the Government’s licensed Competent Person Schemes. Once we have registered an installation with CERTASS, they will:
- Register the installation electronically with the relevant Local Authority Building Control office.
- Issue a Building Regulations Compliance Certificate to you the homeowner. You will need this certificate should you decide to move house.

Where planning permission is required, for example; extensions, conservatories or orangeries, we offer a complete service for your peace of mind.
